1983 SHANNON 38 KETCH. Shannon Boat Co. earned a reputation for building some of the finest offshore sailing yachts in the world. Shannon's New England craftsmen built to the highest quality specifications, creating a yacht without compromise.

This boat is a long distance blue water cruiser or would make an excellent Great Lakes boat. She offers good stability and is comfortable in more challenging conditions. Accommodations
Below deck the Shannon 38 classic arrangement has a Teak interior, a generous owner’s cabin forward with storage lockers, shelves and drawers. There is a bi-fold privacy door to the forward cabin which opens into the mast enclosure when not in use. Move aft to starboard there is a large head with shower and vanity with sink; and hanging locker to port. Midship the main salon is airy and well-lit, with ample ventilation, plenty of storage and long settees that slide out, equipped with lee cloths they can be used as berths. There is an upper outboard pilot berth on the port side, large folding teak table to accommodate several guests for dinner with a large U-settee that converts to a double birth. Moving aft to port is the well-equipped nav station with built in seat and electric panel, adjacent to the quarter berth aft. Opposite is the galley with a double stainless sink, LPG stove/oven and refrigeration with freezer. A very nice arrangement usually found on larger and newer boats. "Cool Change" was the last 36 Nonsuch built. On a Nonsuch 36, an ocean voyage or an afternoon sail can be easily managed by a couple, since this sailing craft only has one sail to control. How easy could it get! This puts the joy of sailing in the security of the cockpit and puts the love of sailing into the very word NONSUCH.

The interior is the size you would find on a 40 foot boat, as it has three separate cabins, with a large berth in the forward cabin and an aft cabin that has plenty of room for resting. Accommodations
The design brief for the HUNTER 36 also called for a very larger accommodation plan that would cater to those to like to entertain as well as sail. From the after stateroom to the vee cabin, the beam is maximized to provide a comfortable, safe, and inspired interior.

Aft stateroom features an athwartships, queen size, bed with a headboard and twin night stands, just you would enjoy at home.
Storage comes in all forms in the aft stateroom, there is storage behind the headboard, along the aft bulkhead and a hanging locker.
L-shaped galley with refrigeration, propane stove oven, excellent storage, and corian countertops.
Main saloon features a large dinette that converts to a double berth, and is off to the starboard side. Across from it is a straight settee that can be used as a single berth and is perfect for additional guests to socialize on the boat. Teak veneers warm up the entire space.
In the forward cabin there is a double vee berth, and hanging locker. There is also a louvered set of cafe doors that open between the vee cabin and the saloon to allow greater ventilation and light to be shared.
A full nav station faces aft at the end of the settee and allows for direct communication between the cabin and the cockpit.
Unusual in a boat this size, however the head features seperate compartments for the shower and general sink vanity.

The Tartan-34C is a traditional Sparkman Stephens designed in 1969. Stepping aboard one notices wide decks and a generous cockpit that drains well. The design is a keel centerboard which allows the boat to perform well to windward and yet still capable of shallower harbors frequently encountered when cruising. The companionway is designed for off-shore sailing such that up to three hatch boards can be set to prevent any boarding wave from going into the cabin.

Looking below you will find a well-ventilated quarter berth to port, just aft of a small navigation table with chart drawer underneath. An 18" opening port provides excellent air and light. Immediately to starboard is an L-shaped galley that has a 10" deep sink with a retractable swiveling spray hose. The original, two burner alcohol stovetop, with a cutting board cover providing a generous counter top.  Just aft of the stove is a generous storage area for dry goods, the Icebox has been removed.

In the main cabin, there is a generous dinette to port that utilizes one of the seat-back cushions to create a large double berth. A bulkhead-mounted drop-down table with an extension leaf provides for comfortable seating for five. Under the dinette is a 25-gallon fuel tank and dual, oversized batteries.

The engine is located amidships, along the centerline, a product of smart S&S nautical engineering. Then the easily removed engine cover provides nearly all around engine access.

To port and aft is a cozy pilot berth that has a padded bunk board that can be positioned to serve as either a back rest or lee board. Underneath is a 35-gallon water tank that has two access / inspection ports to facilitate cleaning.

Forward of the mast, and to port is a double entry head with a standard WC and vanity sink. There are closets and drawer stowage on the Starboard side. The spacious v-berth can accommodate 2 people. There is also a hatch providing light and ventilation. READ MORE

The Hunter 336 has a large comfortable cockpit. It is nearly round and seats six to eight. It has been designed for comfort and ease of use with higher back rests, a built-in table off the pedestal, stern rail seats and a walk through transom for ease of boarding. The transom has two storage lockers, a stainless steel swim ladder with steps, a rubrail for protection for dinghy access and a transom hot/cold shower. Two line lockers on each side of the companionway help keep the cockpit neat underway. The short traveler mounted in front of the wheel doesn’t give you a whole lot in the way of trim but it certainly is easy to reach the main sheet from the helm or cockpit.
The deck is cleared of most working lines or sheets by running the lines from the mast under a bridgedeck and back to the cockpit. Most of the maintenance work above decks is minimized by stainless steel handrails.

Solace a Beneteau Oceanis 321, this is a design from the Groupe Finot. They are well known for designing  extremely fast offshore sailing machines, and this boat is proof of their capabilities. An in-mast furling mainsail and roller furling jib combine to provide a powerful rig, and the genoa winches within easy reach of the helm station make short handing a pleasure.
