Proven turnkey cruiser!
The Hunter Legend 40.5 is a fantastic cruiser for a couple or a family. She is very roomy
below and has a well thought out layout on deck. The step-down transom provides easy
access for a dinghy and swimming.
With a spacious interior layout, this boat is live aboard friendly. Comfortable private forward and aft cabins, two heads with showers. A very large salon and galley with plenty of counter space. The galley has dual stainless sinks, Corian countertops, front and top loading refrigerator, a good-sized freezer, microwave and 3-burner stove/oven.
She has a bulb wing keel making her stable and sea kindly with shoal draft. This boat has a fractional rig with roller furling genoa. The mainsail is rigged with a dutchman system, slab reefing, and all lines are led aft to make sail handling easy. The sails were refurbished in 2020.
This vessel has been very well maintained and lovingly upgraded. Some of the improvements that have been done to this boat are:
Upgraded the house battery bank to Lithium-Ion to provide adequate power for extended stretches off grid.
Converted from the Galley stove from CNG to LPG with installation of Trident propane locker with solenoid valve and control panel. The locker accommodates a standard 20lb LP tank.
The rail mounted grill has the hose and valve kit installed to run off the central LP system.
The Yanmar 50 HP engine is reliable and economical, with an upgrade to alternator to charge the Lithium Ion battery house bank..
Equipment Includes 2010 West Marine RU260 inflatable dinghy with 5HP Merc
The locker accommodates a standard 20lb LP tank.
Whether you aspire to weekends on the Great Lakes, adventures in the North Channel, or
dream of setting off for the Florida Keys, this boat will take you there!
