The Sun Odyssey 379 was the Cruising World Boat of the Year 2012 and is a very modern and attractive boat. This fin keel version offers a deeper L-shaped keel bringing extra performance especially upwind and her chined hull and plumb bow really make for a fast comfortable sail. She comes with an adjustable backstay, Code 0, and was also geared with the Performance Pack including upgraded mylar performance Main and Genoa sails and is sure to turn some heads on the racecourse.Â
Visibility is excellent from the dual helm stations with a single rudder. She has a wide cockpit, comfortable seats, and large retractable swim platform for those cruising weekends. There are nice big lockers under the cockpit and helm seats for fenders, dock lines and other gear, while the chartplotter can be easily viewed from either of the helm stations. She also has a double bow roller, windlass and deep anchor locker forward.
ACCOMODATIONS
The boat's clean lines are also evident down below. The solid wood, light fabrics and a white headliner lend a warm, open feeling to the space.
Main Salon: large dinette table with C-shape seating around and a large settee, hanging locker, cabinet storage, television, stereo and owner's locker located aft of head compartment.
Nav station: hand hold and chart table with storage and gooseneck chart light.
Galley: numerous storage compartments, high-capacity refrigerator, freezer, microwave, gimballed 2 burner stove with oven, double stainless steel sink.
Head Compartment: manual head, Plexiglass shower door, stainless steel sink, storage.
Forward/Owners Cabin: center berth, 2 deep cabinets with shelves and hanging rods
