This is a very classy centre-cockpit cruising yacht that is modern but observes the traditional values which are essential for true seaworthiness. It has a modest sail area for easy handling, and has the best galley I have seen on this type of yacht, with lots of stowage, and even a proper engine room which allows for access to all parts of the engine.
The Moody 425 makes its standards obvious literally as you step aboard. Built to Loyds of London standards, passionatly maintained and refit by her current owners. The first thing I noticed was the aluminum toerail capping. Holes are drilled in the toerail to accept attachment of a block. Making things easy to create a fair sheeting angle for a foresail. This sort of detail suggests that Moody expects their boat to to travel in all sorts of conditions which you will encounter while sailing this passagemaker.
The centre cockpit is incorporated in quite a low profile so you don?t feel too high and remote from the action. If the act of sailing is part of your soul, you will enjoy this boat?s relationship with the water. Imagine the gurgling sound of wake and bow wave, the babbling brook. If you are looking for a true Blue water yacht look no further come and have a look at Lucky Bird. Then make plans to sail anywhere in the world!
